At Lindeneau Elementary School, learning doesn't stop just because it's summer! We hope all our families are enjoying a well-deserved break—and we’re excited to invite students to take part in our Summer Reading Challenge to keep those reading skills sharp.
Each student received a small bundle of leveled reading books and a summer skills workbook to support continued learning at home. As a fun way to stay engaged, students are encouraged to read at least 45 minutes each week—that’s less than 10 minutes a day!
To celebrate our readers’ dedication, we’re hosting Weekly Reading Check-Ins every Tuesday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Door #13. Students can stop by with their completed reading log and receive a special treat from Mr. Platvoet and Mrs. Fischer! Even better—the Edison Library Bookmobile will be visiting Lindeneau on select Tuesdays so families can check out new books to enjoy at home.
Our first Reading Check-In kicks off Tuesday, July 1st, and we can’t wait to see how many books our Lindeneau readers have already explored. Let’s keep the pages turning this summer—SCHOOL’S OUT, BUT READING IS IN!
